Caravans Salon
Poznań
the unstoppable drive for freedom
Co warto zobaczyć?
Caravans Salon Poznań is a true mecca for anyone who loves travelling on four wheels. We personally saw over 500 touring vehicles, ranging from luxury campers where you can feel like you're in a five-star hotel, to minimalist trailers just waiting for adventurers ready for a real challenge. Naturally, there was no shortage of all the technical marvels: solar systems, portable kitchens, and caravanning gadgets – a paradise for fans of new technologies!
Honestly, I am always fascinated by how caravanning connects people. At the fair, you could feel a real sense of community, where everyone had their travel stories, DIY modification hacks, and secret tips on how best to spend time on the road. Although I must admit that some of these caravanning gadgets were more futuristic than practical, they will certainly find their fans among the more daring caravanners!
he hunt for the perfect interior build for our camper
Our main goal at the fair was to find an interior build that would match not only our needs but also our philosophy of minimalism. Yes, we are looking for something functional that won't turn our van into a kitchen on wheels. We have quite sophisticated expectations – lots of storage and space for things, but absolutely no kitchen section. We only need a space with water for washing our hands or a coffee mug. The ideal build should be foldable and retractable, flexible like origami, adapting to our interior.
Nasze auto ma układ 2-2-2, czyli sześć foteli w trzech rzędach. Pierwszy rząd to oczywiście kierowca i pasażer – a tu dodaliśmy obrotnicę do fotela pasażera, co pozwala nam stworzyć praktyczną przestrzeń do siedzenia i relaksu. W tylnych rzędach mamy jednak pewną zagwozdkę – chcemy zachować dwa fotele obok siebie albo jeden za drugim, w zależności od tego, jak będzie rozkładało się łóżko.
Yes, exactly – a bed.
This is a crucial element, because it has to fold out onto the seats in a clever and uncomplicated way. We are looking for a build that will allow us to fully utilize every centimeter of the interior. Our van is our home on wheels, so it must be practical yet comfortable. Doesn't that sound like a challenge that only the best manufacturers can take on?

Przystanek Zlot – The Caravanning Community in One Place
During Przystanek Zlot, which took place as part of Caravans Salon Poznań, every participant could choose from various parking zones. The most prestigious location was Plac Świętego Marka (St. Mark's Square), situated right next to the main exhibition halls. This was the ideal spot for those who wanted to be in the center of the action.
Roof racks as an alternative to interior van build-outs
During Caravans Salon Poznań, we also looked closely at roof tents for sleeping, which can be a great alternative to a classic interior build. These structures mounted on the car's roof offer extra sleeping space, which is especially useful for small vans where interior space is often limited.
Pros and Cons
Pros the advantages of such a solution are primarily space saving inside the vehicle, the possibility of quick assembly and disassembly, and greater storage space inside the van. Furthermore, roof tents provide a comfortable, elevated sleeping area, which can be a bonus on rainy nights or uneven terrain.
However, there are also plenty of consInstalling a roof tent affects the vehicle's aerodynamics, which can increase fuel consumption. Additionally, setting up and packing away the tent requires some time and can be problematic at night or during poor weather conditions. The final issue is the need for access to the roof, which can be challenging, especially if the vehicle lacks a built-in ladder.
Every year, the caravanning fair in Poznań attracts thousands of vanlife and camper fans. Although each edition has its own atmosphere, one thing remains constant – it is a meeting place for people for whom travel is a lifestyle.
MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
In Poland, the largest caravanning event, and at the same time one of the largest in Europe, is Caravans Salon Poland in Poznań.
Besides that, it's also worth checking out the Camper & Caravan Show in Nadarzyn, near Warsaw, which is held at the PTAK Warsaw Expo exhibition center.
Warsaw also hosts smaller caravaning-related events and meet-ups that round out the industry offerings, like 'Majówka na Służewcu,' or the Warsaw Caravaning Festival.
Thanks to this, regardless of whether you’re a beginner camper enthusiast or a seasoned van-lifer, you’ve got several major opportunities in Poland to check out the gear, meet the community, and grab some serious inspiration.
If you are participating in the rally/event within Caravans Salon Poland in Poznań, parking on the grounds of the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie (MTP – Poznań International Fair) is free for rally participants – which is very convenient. However, if you are arriving in a regular visitor car, you have two options:
paid parking on the MTP grounds, including the underground car park at ul. Głogowska 12 (650 spaces) – entrance right after the Trade Center building.
looking for free or cheaper parking on your own within a radius of approximately 1-2 km from MTP – e.g., in the city zone, ul. Matejki 63 (approx. 350 m from MTP).
At caravanning fairs, you can see everything related to life on the road – from luxury campers, through minimalist vans, to roof tents, solar systems, and off-grid equipment. It is also an opportunity to talk to manufacturers and other caravanning enthusiasts.
More and more people are deciding on a DIY van conversion, meaning one built themselves. The simplest projects include a folding bed, a portable kitchen, and space for tourist equipment. Many companies showcase ready-made modules at the fairs that can be installed without drilling.
A roof top tent is a great solution for those who want to sleep comfortably, but without a large camper. Mounted on the car's roof, it provides additional sleeping space and independence while travelling. However, it is worth remembering that it affects fuel consumption and requires unfolding every time you change location.
The vanlife community in Poland is developing rapidly – hundreds of people travel across Europe in vans and share their stories online. You can find inspiration on Instagram and TikTok, including on the profile @hcamp_pl, gdzie pokazujemy życie w trasie i testujemy sprzęt caravaningowy.
